Introduction to Learning Law
Law for complete beginners.
Learning Law is taught live and online. Each week combines a lecture with a small-group class. You learn how law is made, how the courts and case law work, and how to read, interpret and find the law. The course gives you a grounding in the discipline before you decide whether to prepare for the SQE.
We also offer one-to-one teaching, which you can book now. One-to-One SQE1 Tuition covers the subjects and topics tested in both SQE1 papers. One-to-One SQE2 Skills Coaching covers the legal skills that SQE2 assesses. Each session is personalised, and you choose its focus. Sessions last an hour and can be booked one at a time, so you decide how many you need.
If you are registered to study with us, sign in to the Student Portal to book. If you are not, register with us to begin. Registration is free, and the form takes a few minutes. Once you are approved, you can book any course that is open, or a one-to-one session.
For how SQE1 short courses are taught, see SQE1 Short Courses.
Registering to study with us does not register you to sit the SQE. The two are entirely separate. Woodroffe Legal Education is an independent training provider. The SQE is centrally assessed by the appointed assessment organisation of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The SRA sets its own eligibility criteria for candidates. You register for the assessments directly with the SRA. See sqe.sra.org.uk for the SRA’s guidance on eligibility and registration.
