Courses are now open for booking.
You must be registered with Woodroffe Legal Education before you can book a course or one-to-one session.
Registration to study with Woodroffe is free, and is open to anyone aged 18 or over. You complete it once only. When your registration has been approved, you will have access to our Student Portal and booking system. Through the portal, you can book a place on any available course or one-to-one session, from an introduction to law through to preparation for the centrally assessed Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). There is no need to register again when you book a further course or one-to-one session.
Registering with us involves three steps:
Complete the form. Fill in and submit the short registration form. There is no fee charged for registration.
Await approval. We review each application for registration, typically within three working days.
Sign in and book. Once you are approved, you will be sent an email with details about how to sign in to our Student Portal, through which you reach the booking system.
Registering to study with us does not register you to sit the SQE. The two are entirely separate. Woodroffe Legal Education is an independent training provider. The SQE is centrally assessed by the appointed assessment organisation of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The SRA sets its own eligibility criteria for candidates. You register for the assessments directly with the SRA. See sqe.sra.org.uk for the SRA’s guidance on eligibility and registration.
Our online platform runs on Google, so every registered student needs a free Google Account to use the Student Portal. You sign in with the email address linked to that account. You do not need a Gmail address. You can link an email address you already use.
The registration form asks for the email address linked to your Google Account. If you have not set up an account yet, you can still register and provide the address once your registration is approved. You will need the account in place before you can use the Student Portal and booking system. Guidance on setting up an account is in the student registration FAQ below.
To register with us, please complete the Student Registration form. The button below opens the form in Google Forms, in a new browser tab.
Registration is free, and you complete it once only. The form takes a few minutes. Questions marked with an asterisk are required.
We review each registration, typically within three working days. Once your registration has been approved, you will be given access to our Student Portal and booking system.
For information on how we handle the personal information you submit, see our Privacy Notice.

Yes. Registration is free of charge. Fees apply only when you book a course or one-to-one session, and each programme page sets out its fee.
We run our online campus through Google Workspace. Signing in with a Google Account is how students access it. Requiring one offers three main advantages.
Privacy and security. Requiring students to sign in with a Google Account helps keep teaching materials, class discussions and student information restricted to the students they are intended for.
One login. A single Google login gives you access to the Student Portal. Once you are booked on a programme, it can also give you access to that programme's own spaces, which may include a Google Classroom, shared materials and groups.
Scheduling. Where Google's calendar features allow, bookings and schedule information can appear in your own Google Calendar. This may make it easier to keep track of your sessions.
Please note: Google provides and controls these features, and they may change over time.
No. A Google Account and a Gmail address are separate things. You can create a Google Account using an email address you already use, from a provider such as Outlook or Yahoo.
A personal email address you expect to keep is preferable to a work or university address. Addresses managed by an organisation can be subject to restrictions that the organisation sets, and you may lose access to them if you move on. The address you link is the one you will use to sign in, so choose one you check regularly.
Yes. Give the email address linked to that account when you complete the form. You will use the same account to sign in once you are approved.
Setting up a Google Account is free and can be done with an email address you already have.
Go to accounts.google.com/signup. If asked, choose "For my personal use".
Enter your name and the basic details Google requests.
At the email address step, choose "Use your existing email" and enter the address you want to use with Woodroffe.
Google will send a verification code to that address. Enter the code to verify it.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set a password and complete the process.
Once your registration has been approved, use that email address and password to sign in to the Student Portal.
Please note: Google controls its own sign-up process and may change the steps or wording above. If what you see on screen differs, follow Google's instructions.
You can still submit the form. We will ask for the email address linked to your Google Account when your registration is approved. Setting up your account before you register saves that step. You will need the account in place before you can use the Student Portal and booking system.
We review each registration, typically within three working days. Once your registration is approved, you will be given access to the Student Portal and booking system. From there, you can book courses and one-to-one sessions as they become available.
We welcome students from every background. There are no academic entry requirements. You do not need a law degree, or any other qualification, to book a course or one-to-one session.
Two conditions apply. You need to be aged 18 or over. This is the only restriction we place on age. You also need to be in the United Kingdom when you book. This is because our Terms and Conditions are designed for consumers in the United Kingdom, under the law of England and Wales. You may live in the United Kingdom or be staying temporarily.
Our programmes are open to anyone regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including ethnic origin and nationality), religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Yes. Students considering one-to-one SQE1 tuition or SQE2 coaching can arrange a short introductory video call with a tutor, free of charge. The call is optional, and you can arrange it once your registration has been approved. It gives you the chance to talk through your background and your aims, and to ask questions before you book a session.
